To obtain a professional client status, you must meet two of the three criteria
Trading Activity
Your trading activity has averaged 10 significant leveraged transactions per quarter over the past year.
Experience
You have at least one year of experience working in the financial sector in a professional role that requires knowledge of CFD products or services.
Portfolio
Your financial instruments portfolio, which includes cash deposits and various financial assets, exceeds EUR 500,000.

What should you consider before applying for professional status?
Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) Exclusion
Professional Clients are not eligible for coverage under the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF), which may provide compensation in certain circumstances.
Leverage Flexibility
While retail clients are subject to leverage restrictions of 1:30 and 1:10 on certain products, Professional Clients are exempt from these limitations, allowing for more tailored trading strategies. However, it's crucial to note that higher leverage can magnify risks and losses.
Assumed Experience Level
M4Markets may presume a sufficient level of trading experience when assessing the suitability of products and services for Professional Clients. Consequently, communications may utilize more advanced language compared to interactions with Retail Clients.
Reduced Risk Warnings
Professional Clients are not bound by standard risk warnings and regulations designed to protect Retail Clients, offering greater autonomy but also necessitating a heightened awareness of associated risks.
